Abstract: Nurse burnout continues to be a significant challenge in healthcare settings, impacting both the well-being of nurses and the quality of patient care. This presentation introduces the upcoming implementation of a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley, scheduled to commence in June 2024. The 12-week program aims to reduce burnout levels among bedside nurses by enhancing mindfulness skills, stress management techniques, and peer support mechanisms. The project's objectives include developing a tailored MBSR curriculum, effective program implementation strategies, and planning for a comprehensive evaluation of outcomes. With no available data yet, the anticipated results aim to show a significant reduction in nurse burnout levels, improved mindfulness skills among participants, and enhanced peer support within the nursing staff. This initiative seeks to benefit the well-being of nurses and contribute to a positive impact on patient care quality. The presentation will discuss the program's design, upcoming implementation process, anticipated outcomes, and implications for future healthcare interventions.Short Description: This poster presentation introduces the implementation of a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley to address nurse burnout and enhance patient care quality.Name of Sponsoring Organization(s):
