EEG Topography and LORETA Tomography in Neuropathology and Treatment of Genetic Epilepsy
Abstract: Two patients with previous unsuccessful psychiatric treatment under went a neurophysiologic evaluation method that included EEG, QEEG and Loreta brain scans. Each patient's lab data directed counterintuitive medicinal treatment that has been successful for over 15 years. These scans showed both patients required a low dose anticonvulsant and stimulant combination, which had not previously been considered by their prior doctors.Short Description: EEG, QEEG, and Loreta technologies guided individualized medicinal therapeutics. Two patients with previous unsuccessful psychiatric treatment had a complete neurophysiologic evaluation with additional EEG, QEEG and Loreta brain scans that directed counterintuitive medical treatment that has been successful for over 15 years. Their treated data (TABLES AND GRAPHICS ON POSTER) showed both patients required a low dose anticonvulsant and stimulant combination, which had not previously been considered by their prior doctors.Name of Sponsoring Organization(s): Emory Neurophysiologic Institute
