Great article. I have been known to facilitate a group on this very subject. Clients will bring in their favorite song to group and then explain why it is their favorite. The group then provides feedback, plus it gives me good insight into how my clients are influenced in the way they think. The type of music a person listens to can say a lot about him/her.
