UHS, Tech Firm Team Up for Pilot to Analyze Patients with AI Software
Universal Health Services and Eleos Health, a behavioral health tech firm, this week announced the launch of a pilot program for clinical decision-support software to analyze patient experiences and treatment outcomes.
For six weeks, clinicians at a UHS residential behavioral health facility in Nashville are using the intervention during weekly sessions with adolescent patients between the ages of 13 and 17. Patients provide their full consent for use of the software, which is designed to assess and measure the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patients, augment clinical and organizational decision-making, and optimize treatment by analyzing voice and speech patterns during therapy sessions.
The application, developed by Eleos, is HIPAA compliant, generates administrative reports and provides actionable data for clinician use.
Results from the pilot will be used to inform another larger pilot with more participating facilities, clinicians and patients.
