Facility hires new director to oversee educational academy, multilingual services

Innovative efforts to be overseen by the new director of the nonprofit Outreach's outpatient treatment site in North Brooklyn include ReStart Academy, an intensive educational program for youths transitioning back to the public school system from substance use treatment.
The New York City organization this week announced the hiring of Janet Walpole, LCSW, as program director for Outreach Greenpoint. She joined the organization last year after having served as director at an integrated behavioral health clinic.
Walpole also will oversee adult and adolescent outpatient treatment services at Outreach Greenpoint, which offers services in English, Spanish and Polish.
