Alethia House awarded $2.5 million by SAMHSA

The U.S. Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration announced today that it had selected Aletheia House to receive a $2.5 million grant to provide substance abuse treatment and HIV prevention services in four rural Alabama counties. The grant is $500,000 per year for five years.
The program, called Healthy Living, is a new treatment program for African-American men and women with substance use or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders who are living with HIV/AIDS or are at high risk for HIV infection. It will be located in four rural Alabama counties with high HIV prevalence rates-Dallas, Lowndes, Butler and Conecuh counties.
