California Website Outlines State Response to Opioid Crisis

A new website in California is serving as a hub for treatment providers and the public to access information about the state's response to the opioid crisis. The research and consulting firm Health Management Associates has spearheaded development of the Addiction Free CA site as it works with state officials to implement four projects to improve access to medication treatments for opioid dependence.

Among the features on the new site are a dashboard of county-level information, a collection of epidemiological data, a number of educational resources for use by provider entities, and links to treatment locators for patients and families.

The site is designed to communicate efforts in California that have been made possible through use of State Treatment Response and State Opioid Response monies from the federal government, according to a news release from Health Management Associates.
