Elements website will feature images of recovered lives this month

Elements Behavioral Health's consumer-focused Addiction.com website will devote significant attention during National Recovery Month to sharing inspiring comments from recovering individuals about their newfound lives. “What My Recovery Looks Like” will showcase photos and captions that depict an aspect of each individual's recovery.

Examples include this comment from Katie McBride: “The simple act of taking a walk with my dog on the beach would have been too complicated for me pre-sobriety and now it's one of the biggest joys in my life.” Amy Dresner's post states, “This is a photo of me when I was a baby: happy, brave, curious, unfettered, unashamed, confident. And that's exactly how I feel at this point in this recovery.”

A news release from Elements states that Addiction.com will accept submissions throughout this month, “in an effort to spread the message that while recovery may look different for everyone who experiences it, every day sobriety changes lives for the better, in ways both big and small.”
