Experts to discuss addiction treatment in Baltimore

A national panel series on improving addiction treatment is coming to Baltimore on October 22. The event is being organized by Addiction Professional magazine and will feature experts from Baltimore and across the country. These thought leaders will discuss challenges facing the local and national treatment system, as well as how members of the professional and general community can better work together to improve outcomes for people struggling with addiction disorders. They will also discuss building an addiction treatment and recovery system in which care is better organized to improve clients' long-term success.

Panelists will include:

• Jeffrey Gary, PhD, Clinical Director of First Step of Maryland
• Lex Remillard, MSW, LCSW, Director of Clinical Services at Clarity Way of Pennsylvania
• Margaret Nagib, PsyD, Faculty Member of the Timberline Knolls Clinical Development Institute of Illinois

The Baltimore event will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST on October 22 at McCormick and Schmick's.

The event is supported by Dominion Diagnostics, the Maryland Addictions Professional Certification Board, the Maryland Addictions Directors Council, Clarity Way, Timberline Knolls, and American Addiction Centers.
