GateHouse Treatment Hires Chief Science Officer
Samuel MacMaster. PhD, has been hired as chief science officer at GateHouse Treatment and GH Recovery Solutions, a Nashua, N.H.-based provider of a continuum of inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment and recovery services.
MacMaster previously served as vice president and chief clinical officer at JourneyPure, which he co-founded and where he developed clinical programming processes and organizational metrics. He is an associate professor at Baylor College of Medicine and a former associate professor at the University of Tennessee's College of Social Work.
“I chose to come to GateHouse because they believe, as I do, that addiction is not an acute disease; it requires a long-term continuum of care,” MacMaster said in a news release. “GateHouse understands that and is on the front line of the opioid epidemic here in New Hampshire.”
