Hazelden Betty Ford initiates effort to energize alumni base

The former vice president of alumni services at the Betty Ford Center is now assisting the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in developing a new strategy for alumni relations. Leonard Bade also is a founding member of the organization Treatment Professionals in Alumni Services (TPAS) and was the first president of the Betty Ford Alumni Association in the 1980s.

“We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Leonard's energy, vision and experience helping us energize and grow our valued alumni base,” Hazelden Betty Ford president and CEO Mark Mishek said in a news release.

As vice president of alumni services at the Betty Ford Center in the early 2000s, Bade helped create a recovery support program for alumni that resulted in 45 support groups across the country and that recruited more than 140 volunteers.
