Hazelden co-sponsors Sober St. Patrick`s Day
Hazelden is proud to be a co-sponsor of the first annual Sober St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in New York City, a fun and family-friendly way to reclaim the true spirit and beauty of the day through the best of Irish music, dance and comedy.
“St. Patrick is beloved for overcoming adversity and working many miracles,” said William C. Moyers, Vice President of Public Affairs and Community Relations at Hazelden and a member of the event’s Honorary Committee. “I can’t help but think that he’d be quite pleased with an alcohol- and drug-free celebration of all that Irish culture has to offer.”
The March 17 event, from 3-7 p.m. at Regis High School, 60 E. 86th St., will feature performances by the John Whelan Band, Brian Conway, Brendan Dolan, KT Sullivan, “Sister Mary Caron,” the Mulvihill-Lynch Irish Dancers and other surprise guests.
Light food and soft drinks will be served.
There will be an Al-Anon Meeting before the party at 2:30 p.m., and an open AA Meeting at 7 p.m. downstairs.
Tickets are $12 each, four maximum per person, and must be purchased in advance at https://www.soberstpatricksday.com.
