Lakeview Health adds pain specialist to medical team
A psychiatrist with significant experience in pain medicine has been hired to join the medical team at Lakeview Health in Jacksonville, Fla. Adrian Blotner, MD, who most recently has served as director of the pain medicine program at University of Florida Health, will join Lakeview in September.
Blotner, who is board-certified in psychiatry and pain medicine and has been a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine and the American Pain Society, will serve as Lakeview's campus psychiatrist for the gender-separate programs that the organization recently instituted.
Lakeview leaders said in a news release this week that the hiring of Blotner reinforces the organization's commitment to treating highly acute psychiatric patients with substance use disorders.
