New Calif. outpatient center hires clinical leaders

Thrive Treatment, a new outpatient addiction treatment facility opening next month in Santa Monica, Calif., has announced the hiring of David Pavia, LCSW, as clinical director and Mariam Moini, PsyD, as primary professional psychologist. Among Thrive Treatment's priority components will be the pairing of each patient with a recovery advocate who will work with the individual on building life skills throughout his/her treatment stay.

Pavia's experience includes serving as a primary clinician at Promises Treatment Centers' young-adult treatment program and as lead clinician at The Control Center in Beverly Hiils. According to a July 23 news release from Thrive Treatment, Pavia will work closely with chief operating officer Jennifer Musselman in designing treatment approaches.

Moini most recently served as program director at Cliffside Malibu and also has worked as a primary therapist at Authentic Recovery Center. Among her clinical interests are understanding culture's effect on the family system and assisting young adults in life transition stages.
