Phoenix House California hires executive director

Shawna R. Morris, formerly vice president of mental health services at Burrell Behavioral Health in Missouri, has been hired to oversee all programs of Phoenix House California. Phoenix House's California operation runs treatment sites in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. Morris will serve as senior vice president and executive director of the organization.
From 1997 to 2014, Morris held a number of positions at the Menninger Clinic in Houston, including director of marketing and chief operating officer. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has more than 26 years of experience in healthcare management.
