Spanish version of overdose prevention toolkit now available

A Spanish-language version of an Opioid Overdose Prevention Toolkit for health providers and communities is now available from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

The publication offers strategies for prevention of opioid overdose deaths, including information on access to the overdose reversal medication naloxone and to substance use disorder treatment services.

The toolkit, now available in both English and Spanish, also includes links to agencies working on prevention initiatives.
