Pro football`s Herndon to share recovery journey at NCAD
Former professional football offensive lineman Steven Herndon will be featured as the Keynote Speaker for the 2016 National Conference on Addiction Disorders, August 18-21, in Denver, Colo.
In his keynote session—taking place Saturday, August 20, 2016, at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel—Herndon will share his own challenging journey to recovery. Now President and Executive Director of Safety Net Recovery, Herndon helps others through their journey by creating a compassionate community built on top of a spiritual, structured foundation. He helps those in need find comfort in their newfound sobriety through structured, sober living.
Safety Net operates locations in Georgia and South Carolina.
From 2001-2003, Herndon played for the National Football League's Denver Broncos, and later played for the Atlanta Falcons in the 2004 season. Once defined by football, Herndon’s hope is that today he will be defined as a loving husband, father and friend.
