RCA names human-services executive as CEO of first facility

Recovery Centers of America's (RCA's) first treatment facility will be run by a former regional executive of a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit human services organization. RCA has named Beth Caraccio to serve as CEO of its acquired Lighthouse Recovery in Mays Landing, N.J.

Caraccio most recently served as tri-state regional executive at NHS Human Services, where she managed more than 300 employees and a $15 million annual budget.

RCA, which plans to open several campus-like treatment sites to address unmet need in the Northeast and Middle Atlantic regions, announced earlier this year that its first facility would not be a newly established operation, but an acquisition. The RCA at Lighthouse site has undergone physical renovation and changes to the clinical care model in recent months.

RCA at Lighthouse medical director Michael DeShields, MD, emphasized in a news release the organization's focus on building therapeutic relationships from the moment of a patient's arrival. He added, “The atmosphere created, thanks in large part to the facility's upgrades, is one where staff and patients share meals together, encouraging patients to become partners in their own recovery every step of the way.”
