Hazelden Betty Ford hires new director for Legal Professionals Program

Kevin Chandler, an attorney and certified alcohol and drug counselor, has been named director of the Legal Professionals Program at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. Chandler is a board member at Minnesota Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers, which assists members of the legal profession, and authored a book of daily meditations for lawyers called The Lawyer's Light.

Chandler replaces Patrick Krill, who will continue in a consulting capacity at Hazelden Betty Ford, a July 18 news release stated.

A recent study co-sponsored by Hazelden Betty Ford highlighted a substantial prevalence of alcohol use disorders among practicing attorneys, who face challenges based in part on their public profile and the stressors common in the profession.
