Spectrum promotes from within for CEO post
Leaders of Massachusetts-based Spectrum Health Systems have stayed within the organization to replace longtime president and CEO Charles “Chuck” Faris. Current chief operating officer Kurt A. Isaacson will take over for the retiring Faris on July 1.
Isaacson's work at Spectrum since 2013 has included spearheading the opening of two new residential treatment facilities and six outpatient facilities. The Worcester-based operator of a continuum of addiction and mental health treatment services is expected to earn more than $70 million in revenues this year, a $10 million increase from 2015.
Isaacson's prior experience includes serving as CEO of psychiatric hospitals in Mississippi and Indiana. Faris, who led Spectrum through significant growth and evolution since the 1970s, will assume a senior advisory role in the organization in order to assist with the leadership transition.
