Clinical leader promoted to chief clinical officer at Origins

Origins Behavioral HealthCare this month announced several staff appointments and promotions, including the promotion of John Dyben, DHSc, to the role of chief clinical officer. Dyben is a former clinical fellow at Origins, which operates treatment facilities in Texas and Florida, and has been a frequent presenter at conferences sponsored by the publisher of Addiction Professional.

Dyben has been instrumental in the development of the treatment programs for older adults that Origins operates at its Hanley Center facility in Palm Beach County, Fla. He also has prioritized the integration of family involvement with treatment and education.

Origins also announced the appointment of Robert Rowling Jr. as chief executive officer, replacing Drew Rothermel, who held the position since April 2014. Rowling is part of the family that owns Origins' parent company, TRT Holdings, which purchased Origins last year.

Rowling tells Addiction Professional's sister publication, Behavioral Healthcare Executive, that TRT is looking to grow and potentially has some other deals in the pipeline. “Certainly we're looking to expand our footprint outside of Florida and Texas, and we're in active talks with a couple companies,” he says.
