Nursing director, day treatment manager hired at Betty Ford

Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation has named Loralie Yzerman, RN, director of nursing and Sandy Islands, PhD, day treatment manager at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Yzerman has more than 25 years of clinical nursing experience and has worked in a variety of industry and critical-care hospital settings. Her peers selected her as a recipient of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Excellence in Caring Practices Award.
Islands is a former director of behavioral health at a hospital-based program serving patients with co-occurring disorders. Her credentials include degrees in counseling and hypnotherapy.
