Sierra Tucson names chief medical officer

The former medical director of the Betty Ford Center has been named chief medical officer at Sierra Tucson, the Arizona facility announced this week.
Steven J. Eickelberg, MD, has more than 20 years of experience in addiction psychiatry and is president of the Medical Education and Research Foundation for the Treatment of Addiction, an organization committed to educating physicians about substance use topics.
According to a news release from Sierra Tucson, Eickelberg in 2014 received the California Society of Addiction Medicine's Vernelle Fox Award for contributions as an educator and mentor in addiction medicine.
