Turning Point hires associate executive director

Bill Simmons has joined Turning Point, the Connecticut-based phased reintegration program for young men, as associate executive director.

According to a news release from Turning Point, Simmons is a credentialed addictions counselor who has worked for more than a decade in administrative and direct-care roles in the field. He is also a certified firefighter and an American Heart Association BLS and CPR trainer.

Turning Point incorporates integrated addiction treatment, life skills training and 12-Step immersion, and gained a reputation for working into its program a number of activities that appeal to young males, from music studio work to mixed martial arts training.
