BayMark Acquires First U.S. Residential Program

BayMark Health Services announced that it has acquired Liberty Bay Recovery Center, a residential treatment facility in Portland, Maine. For BayMark, which operates more than 250 facilities across North America, the acquisition marks the company’s first residential program in the United States, joining Greenestone Muskoka in Bala, Ontario, Canada.

Liberty Bay treats opioid, alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription drug and other addictions, offering residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. Programming incorporates group and individual counseling, family program work, education, life skills training, and relapse prevention strategies and resources.

Liberty Bay will complement BayMark’s existing offerings in Maine—two medication-assisted treatment facilities in Portland and Lewiston, which offer methadone and Suboxone, along with counseling services, for the treatment of OUD.
