Broadstep Behavioral Health Adds Excalibur Youth Services to Portfolio
Broadstep Behavioral Health has acquired Excalibur Youth Services, which operates six facilities in South Carolina.
Broadstep, which moved its headquarters from Wisconsin to North Carolina last year, provides resident and community-based services for individuals with intellectual, developmental and behavioral health conditions. The company’s portfolio includes more than 90 facilities in Wisconsin, Illinois, South Carolina, New Jersey and Nebraska.
Excalibur offers residential treatment services to I/DD and severely mentally ill patients, with three group homes, two psychiatric residential treatment facilities and one intensive services facility. Executive John Short will stay on board as regional vice president overseeing operations, growth and expansion across the Southeast for Broadstep.
The acquisition of Excalibur follows another recent deal for Broadstep. In December, the company reached an agreement to acquire Good Hope Manor, an assisted living provider in Wisconsin for mentally ill individuals with chronic and debilitating medical conditions.
