CooperRiis Opens Short-Term Program in North Carolina
CooperRiis, a not-for-profit residential mental health provider based in western North Carolina, has opened a new short-term treatment program in Asheville.
CooperRiis at Ashville will have a 30-90 day mental health stabilization program that will prepare patients for longer-term residential treatment at CooperRiis Farm in Mill Spring, North Carolina, its Ashville Community Program or another treatment program.
The new Ashville location will accept adult patients over the age of 18 with diagnoses including anxiety, major depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders and co-occurring conditions. Treatment will include psychiatry, individual and group therapy, experiential group therapy, independent skill development and functional recovery programming, including psychotherapy, medication and psychoeducation. CooperRiis at Asheville also will incorporate dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, expressive arts therapy, and psychosis support.
