Editor of Addiction Professional magazine is honored at NCAD

Throughout the National Conference on Addiction Disorders, various awards were presented to leaders and champions in the behavioral health and addiction fields.  Before the final plenary session of the conference began, Mark Fried, Executive Vice President of Vendome Group, LLC., wanted to present the final award of the weekend to “recognize a thought leader within the field.”  

His recognition went out to Gary Enos, Editor-in-Chief of Addiction Professional magazine. 

“Gary Enos,” Fried began, “has been reporting on addiction and behavioral health for more than a decade and has been the editor of Addiction Professional since its inception ten years ago.”

“Under his leadership, Addiction Professional has become the number one publication serving the addiction professional field.  Not only has the magazine won prestigious editorial awards, but it serves as a forum for new ideas and best practices across the country. Gary exemplifies the highest levels of objective reporting and no other journalist has more respect or credibility in the field,” Fried said.

He welcomed the entire audience to help recognize Enos for his “dedication, passion, and leadership in the field of addiction treatment.”

“This is a labor of love and has been from day one,” Gary said as he accepted his award.  He also said that the rest of the professionals in the addiction treatment field are extremely important to the success of the magazine as well saying, “I just want to keep making it bigger and better and we need your input to be able to do that.”
