Monte Nido Opens New Residential Eating Disorder Program in California
Eating disorder treatment provider Monte Nido & Affiliates has opened a residential center near San Francisco. Monte Nido East Bay, located in Lafayette, California, will offer treatment to adults of all genders.
The move represents a return home for the California-based Monte Nido, which has expanded to 25 programs in 10 states since it was founded in 1996.
Programming at Monte Nido East Bay will address anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and/or exercise dependency, along with co-occurring substance use, trauma and psychiatric disorders. Treatment will focus on restoring a physiological and nutritional balance, implementing mindful eating and exercising routines, eliminating destructive behaviors, and developing motivation for recovery.
