New Directions Announces New CEO

New Directions Behavioral Health has announced that its board of directors has named Shana Hoffman as the company’s next president and CEO, filling the vacancy created by Lee Tuveson, who departed from the organization earlier this year.

Hoffman most recently served as senior vice president of corporate transformation and COO of the Tri-State Mid-Atlantic Region for Beacon Health Options. She led client operations and implementations, and was also responsible for improving the organization’s operational performance.

New Directions provides managed behavioral health services, an employee assistance program, student wellness programs, organizational consulting, and coaching services for private and public health plans, Fortune 100 companies, large and medium employers, and labor groups. The company also announced this week that GuideWell Mutual Holding Corp. has reached a deal to become its majority shareholder.
