Recovery Ways Begins Multi-State Expansion with Four Acquisitions

Recovery Ways, a Utah-based mental health and addiction treatment program backed by the private equity firm Chicago Pacific Founders, this week announced a series of acquisitions, launching a national expansion for the company.

Recovery Ways has acquired:

  • Omega Recovery, a technology addiction and mental health treatment center in Austin, Texas. Founder Nicholas Kardaras, PhD, LCSW-R, will remain as the program’s CEO and work with the Recovery Ways clinical team.
  • Breakthrough Recovery Group in Spokane, Washington, a provider of addiction and mental health outpatient services
  • Colonial Clinic, an outpatient alcohol and drug treatment center in Spokane
  • Alpine Recovery, a dual diagnosis program in Arlington, Washington

The newly acquired programs will join Recovery Ways’ three locations in Murray, Utah: Chatham Place, Brunswick Place and Copper Hills. Collectively, the portfolio of centers will be known as the Recovery Ways Family of Programs.

“Given the current mental health crisis, we have decided to expand outside of Utah, primarily into geographies where there is an identified need for quality care,” Recovery Ways CEO Jaime Vinck, MC, LPC, told BHE in an email. “Secondly, we look at partners who share our passion for clinical excellence. Each program in the Recovery Ways Family of Programs brings a unique set of treatment offerings and level of clinical expertise that are so desperately needed at this time.”

Vinck added that the four acquisitions announced this week are part of a growth plan that will include additional partnerships across the U.S.
