Counting down to the first-ever NCAD conference

In just one week, Vendome Group—publisher of Behavioral Healthcare and its sister publication Addiction Professional—is partnering with NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP),the International Coalition for Addiciton Studies Education (INCASE), and the National Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Addiction Professionals and Their Allies (NALGAP) to bring you the inaugural National Conference on Addiction Disorders (NCAD).

Highlights of this year’s conference—which will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City from September 8 to 11—will include:

- A workshop track dedicated to LGBT-specific addiction treatment programs;
- Sessions to help management and staff strategize burnout prevention efforts ;
- Six industry-leading keynote speakers, including Carlton K. Erickson, who will advocate for tailored treatment in his keynote; and
- Sessions focused on implementing tobacco cessation programs in treatment.

Along with thousands of behavioral health professionals, Behavioral Healthcare’s 2010 BH Champions will also be in attendance to accept their awards at a luncheon on Friday. To find out more about NCAD, visit www.ncad10.com.
