Alliance Behavioral Healthcare appoints new CEO
The Board of Directors of Alliance Behavioral Healthcare (Durham, N.C.) has named Rob Robinson to replace retiring Chief Executive Officer Ellen S. Holliman. Robinson will assume his new position on April 1.
Alliance Behavioral Healthcare manages the public mental health, developmental disability and substance abuse services for individuals in the counties of Durham, Wake, Cumberland and Johnston. Since the company was started in 2012, Robinson has served as the chief operating officer. Prior to that, he was the deputy director at The Durham Center.
“As COO Rob has been a driving force in all aspects of Alliance’s growth and development as a strong and vibrant behavioral health managed care organization, and he has the enthusiastic support of the Alliance Board and staff” said Board Chair Lascel Webley, Jr. “I am fully confident that his appointment guarantees Alliance uninterrupted momentum and continued excellence.”
Robinson said in a news release, “I’m gratified by the faith placed in me by the Alliance Board. I view that as a reflection of the broad strength of this organization and the remarkable talents of the people I work with here every day. Ms. Holliman leaves big shoes to fill but I am excited to take the helm at a time when Alliance is poised to move forward in our state’s Medicaid reform plans.”
