Five Ohio behavioral heath agencies choose Qualifacts` EHR
Qualifacts Systems, Inc. was named electronic health records vendor of choice by five different Ohio-based behavioral health agencies in December, the company reports. These new additions join 19 fellow agencies in Ohio that use Qualifacts’ web-based EHR CareLogic Enterprise:
- North Community Counseling Centers – Columbus, Ohio
- Dublin Counseling Center – Dublin, Ohio
- Northwest Counseling Services – Columbus, Ohio
- Children’s Resource Center – Bowling Green, Ohio
- UMCH Family Services – Columbus, Ohio
For Dublin Counseling Center, which is now merging with Northwest Counseling Services to form a new organization Syntero, they began their EHR search because of healthcare reform and the emerging coordinated care models.
“With the advent of healthcare reform it was clear that we needed to have a more sophisticated system of tracking our client records that allowed us to easily share information with other healthcare providers,” says Julie Erwin Rinaldi, CEO and executive director for Syntero. “We wanted to be a preferred provider in the efforts to integrate primary health and behavioral healthcare, but we can’t be a viable partner without a strong EHR. In the end, we chose Qualifacts because we liked CareLogic and their unique collaborative model, and we were impressed with the size of the user community in Ohio.”
According to Jason Medlin, vice president for Qualifacts, the company’s momentum in Ohio picked up when the company worked through their customers’ needs during the transition to Medicaid Information Technology System (MITS) billing.
