New medical director for Lahey Health Behavioral Services
Lahey Health Behavioral Services (Peabody, Mass.), a non-profit network of counseling clinics, addiction treatment centers and community-based programs for youth and families, has appointed Terry M. Smith, M.D., M.S., to medical director of community-based services.
In his role, Smith will oversee patient care and service quality across our outpatient, addiction treatment, emergency, and children’s and family-based services.
Smith is board certified in psychiatry and neurology. Previously, he served as medical director for psychiatric services at Marlborough Hospital and as assistant professor at U-Mass Medical School, Worcester. Prior to that, he served as medical director for South Middlesex Opportunity Council in Marlborough and Framingham, and provided inpatient psychiatric care at Arbour Hospital in Boston.
