ARC plans to build a new treatment center on the property in Greenup County, Kentucky.
After nearly 70 years of service, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital closed in 2020. ARC announced initial plans to develop the campus in December 2021.
In a news release, ARC said it is aiming for a partial opening of its new facility in late 2023 or early 2024 with renovations to begin within the next 2 months. The new program is projected to create about 200 new positions for nurses, counselors, case managers, and maintenance workers.
