Business Briefs: ARC Health, GROW, Monte Nido, Two Chairs, Gateway Foundation, Oceans Healthcare

ARC Health Acquires GROW Counseling

ARC Health is continuing its aggressive expansion, announcing on November 3 that it has acquired GROW Counseling, a mental health group with multiple locations in the Atlanta metroplex area. The acquisition also includes the integration of the GROW Counseling Network, expanding its service footprint into both the US and Canada.

GROW provides therapeutic services for patients of all ages with mental health conditions, specializing in individual, couples, and group therapy.

GROW Counseling Network, a separate entity, is a platform that partners with employers to provide mental health support not addressed in traditional employee assistance programs. The network has therapists in 46 states.

The deal between ARC Health and GROW was facilitated by the mergers and acquisitions advisory firm Mertz Taggart.

Monte Nido Expands in New York

Monte Nido & Affiliates on Wednesday announced that it has expanded and relocated Monte Nido Manhattan Eating Disorder Day Treatment in New York. The program provides eating disorder treatment for adolescents and adults of all genders. Services includes a partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program.

Monte Nido Manhattan is the organization’s seventh program in the state of New York, along with a day treatment program in Westchester and residential programs in Glen Cove, River Towns, Rockland, Briarcliff Manor, and Hudson Valley.

Two Chairs adds 2 to Leadership Team

Behavioral healthcare provider Two Chairs announced on Thursday that it has appointed Justin Wu as its chief operations officer and Padma Lalwani as vice president of engineering.

Wu, who previously held multiple leadership positions with virtual behavioral healthcare provider AbleTo, will lead operational oversight and strategic direction for Two Chairs. Lalwani, who previously served as vice president of engineering for OpenGov and held several product engineering leadership roles with 4 other organizations, will oversee Two Chairs’ engineering, security, and compliance.

Gateway Foundation Appoints 2 Executives

The Gateway Foundation, a Chicago, Illinois-based operator substance use disorder and behavioral health treatment programs, has announced 2 executive-level appointments. Deborah Solmor has been appointed general counsel, and Jim Scarpace has taken on the role of chief clinical officer. Both appointments take effect this month.

Solmor most recently served as general counsel and corporate secretary at TCS Education System. In her new role, Solmor will lead Gateway through legal matters and safeguard the organization’s interests. Scarpace returns to Gateway after most recently serving as regional director of the behavioral medicine service line for the Ascension Illinois Hospital System. Scarpace previously spent 14 years with Gateway Foundation in various roles.

Oceans Healthcare Appoints Chief Financial Officer

Oceans Healthcare has hired Eric Elliott as its chief financial officer, the organization announced on Wednesday. Elliott will lead strategic planning, implementation, and management within Oceans’ financial operations.

Elliott has more than 2 decades of healthcare finance experience. He has overseen more than 100 acquisitions, and has experience with joint venture financial management and scaling organizations’ growth. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of finance at Elara Caring, where he led strategic planning and analysis, treasury management, and mergers and acquisitions modeling within the organization’s finance department.
