Business Briefs: Array Behavioral Healthcare, Lightning Step, Project Transition, Inner Haven Wellness

Array Behavioral Healthcare Hires 3 Executives

Array Behavioral Healthcare, a virtual psychiatry and therapy practice based in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, announced the following 3 executive hires on Wednesday:

  • Shannon Werb as CEO;
  • Sara Gotheridge, MD, as chief medical officer; and
  • Ben Schlang as chief financial officer.

Werb has more than 25 years of healthcare executive experience, most recently serving as chief operating officer at DispatchHealth, where he is credited for playing a key role in diversifying the company’s capabilities to multiple service lines while scaling operations to more than 40 states. Werb has also previously served as president and COO of vRad, a global telemedicine company and radiology practice.

As chief medical officer, Dr Gotheridge will oversee Array’s clinical services, maintain active clinical practice, and partner with the organization’s operations team to ensure care is delivered to patients in a scalable and sustainable manner. Schlang, meanwhile, brings more than 10 years of experience in private equity experience in healthcare investment and finance. He has been involved with Array for nearly 6 years as a member of one of the organization’s institutional investors, Harbour Point Capital.

Tech Vendor Lightning Step Appoints CEO

Lightning Step, a behavioral healthcare and addiction treatment technology vendor based in Houston, Texas, announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Brent Michael as its new CEO.

Michael has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare services and information technology. Prior to joining Lightning Step, Michael served as president for EverCommerce/EverHealth’s electronic medical record (EMR) and revenue cycle management (RCM) software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies. He has also held roles as CEO of Eye Care Leaders, a tech vendor in the eye care domain, and executive positions with CareFusion and GE Healthcare.

Project Transition/PCS Mental Health Names New President

Project Transition/PCS Mental Health has promoted Stacey Dixon, PhD, to the role of president. A licensed psychologist, Dr Dixon has 35 years of experience in treating individuals with behavioral health and co-occurring intellectual and developmental disabilities in Tennessee. Dr Dixon had a private practice in Memphis for 17 years before joining Project Transition as senior vice president of clinical and program services in 2022.

Project Transition serves individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders, while its sister company, PCS Mental Health, specializes in serving those with severe mental illness in the forensic arena. The 2 companies operate under shared executive leadership.

Inner Haven Wellness Opens New Wisconsin Location

Eating disorder treatment provider Inner Haven Wellness has announced the opening of a new program in Madison, Wisconsin. The intensive outpatient program will serve adults seeking treatment for eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, with a focus on skill development to empower clients in recovery.

Inner Haven Wellness treatment draws from dialectical behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, with individualized nutrition planning, supportive meals, mindful movement, individual and group therapy sessions, and skill building exercises.
