Business Briefs: Autism Care Partners, Mindpath Health, Psychiatric Centers, Aegis
Autism Care Partners (ACP), a provider of behavioral therapy to individuals on the autism spectrum, has opened new locations in Worcester, Massachusetts; Berlin, Connecticut; and Burlington, Vermont. With the opening of the 3 new facilities, ACP now operates 18 locations across 7 states, and said in a news release that it plans to open additional centers later this year.
The new facilities offer applied behavior analysis, as well as diagnostic evaluations, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and licensed clinical social work. ACP said in its release that in the coming months, it will deploy its Visual Immersion System, a proprietary speech treatment program to improve communication and learning for individuals on the autism spectrum through a technology-supported, visually based treatment framework. The system was co-developed at Boston Children’s Hospital’s Autism Language Program.
ACP plans to continue its expansion with an additional 8 centers in multiple markets.
Mindpath Health Acquires Psychiatric Centers at San Diego
Mindpath Health, an outpatient provider of mental health services, has expanded its operations in its flagship state of California by acquiring Psychiatric Centers at San Diego. The deal adds 8 locations and 124 providers in the greater San Diego area to the Mindpath portfolio, and also expands Mindpath’s offerings of autism therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and other behavioral health services, including the addition of a center for children and adolescents.
Mindpath Health, a brand recently formed by the unification of MindPath Care Centers and Community Psychiatry, is in network with most major insurers and has more than 90 locations across 7 states.
Aegis Treatment Centers Opens New Location in California
Aegis Treatment Centers, an outpatient provider of opioid addiction treatment services, has opened a third program in Bakersfield, California. The new location is the company’s 39th in the state and fourth in Kern County, California. It will provide medication-assisted treatment, along with individual and group counseling services, and peer-based support.
Aegis is owned by Pinnacle Treatment Centers, a drug and alcohol addiction treatment service provider based in New Jersey.
