Business Briefs: BHG, CODAC, Monte Nido, DreamLife, Crest View, Recovery Ways, Crossroads

Behavioral Health Group (BHG), which operates a network of outpatient opioid treatment and recovery centers, has acquired the Center for Behavioral Health (CBH), expanding its national footprint. CBH offers outpatient substance use disorder and behavioral health services at 20 treatment centers in 8 states, including 5 states in which BHG does not currently have facilities. With the acquisition, the BHG network of programs will now include 116 treatment facilities and 2 labs in 23 states.

With its acquisition of CBH, BHG continues an aggressive expansion, which was punctuated by the addition of 36 locations in 13 states in 2021. The company said in a news release that it plans to continue targeting underserved parts of the US as new markets for its services over the next 5 years.

CODAC Behavioral Health Appoints Chief Operating Officer

CODAC Behavioral Healthcare, a Rhode Island provider of outpatient opioid use disorder and behavioral health treatment services, has appointed Susan Figueiredo, LMHC, LADC, as its chief operating officer. Figueiredo is overseeing clinical operations, logistics, strategic planning, census reporting, national sourcing, and infrastructure. 

Figueiredo joins CODAC having served in operations for various levels of care, with responsibilities including financial and operational oversight, growth and development of mid-level managers, policy review and development, grant writing, and project management. She is also credited with implementing pilot programs for substance use disorder treatment and also facilitating training programs increase quality assurance and staff retention.

Monte Nido Adding Program Under Clementine Brand in New York

Monte Nido & Affiliates, a national provider of eating disorder treatments, is opening a new facility in South Salem, New York. The program, Clementine Hudson Valley, is slated to open in spring 2022, and will offer programming treat anorexia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and/or exercise addiction in adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18. Clementine Hudson Valley will serve as a complement to Clementine Briarcliff Manor, Monte Nido’s existing program for adolescent girls in Westchester County, New York.

Monte Nido & Affiliates operates 45 programs in 13 states under 5 program brands.

DreamLife, Crest View Announce Partnership

DreamLife Recovery, a clinician-owned addiction treatment organization in Donegal, Pennsylvania, announced it has entered a partnership with Crest View Recovery Center of Asheville, North Carolina. DreamLife provides dual-diagnosis, trauma-informed care with on-site medical detox services and a residential treatment program. Crest View offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, as well housing.

Recovery Ways Adds Stuart J. Nathan and Associates

Recovery Ways this week announced that Stuart J. Nathan and Associates, a Houston-based provider of psychological services, has joined the company’s family of programs, which also includes Breakthrough Recovery, Colonial Clinic, Alpine Recovery, Omega Recovery in Texas, Recovery Ways Idaho, and Recovery Ways Nevada.

SJN and Associates is comprised of clinicians who treat psychological issues in complex medical patients in outpatient, rehabilitation, and medical/surgical hospitals. The organization also offers traditional psychotherapy services to assist with mood and anxiety disorders, marital and relationship issues, stress management, addiction, grief, and loss.

Founder Stuart J. Nathan, PhD, a licensed psychologist who has practiced in the Houston area since 1987, will continue to lead the organization.

Investment Firms Complete Recapitalization of Crossroads Affiliate

Revelstoke Capital Partners, a private equity firm that specializes in investing in healthcare service companies, and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (“CDPQ”), a global investment group, announced recently the completion of a recapitalization of a Crossroads Treatment Centers affiliate in conjunction with the company’s management.

Located in Greenville, South Carolina, Crossroads is a behavioral health services provider that specializes in substance use disorders and mental health illnesses, using medication-assisted treatment, in-person and telehealth-based visits, lab services, and intensive care coordination. Crossroads operates 115 locations in 10 states.
