Brave Health Expands, Signs First Value-Based Contract
Brave Health, a provider of virtual behavioral health services for Medicaid populations, announced that it has expanded its operations to cover 18 states through more than 200 health plan contracts. The company also announced its first value-based contract, with Molina Healthcare in Texas, in a partnership “designed to innovate on the measurement of and reimbursement for outcomes related to transitions of care for members with psychiatric disorders,” Brave Health said in a news release.
The announcement by Brave Health comes a week after the organization unveiled a referral partnership with MedArrive, a mobile-integrated care management platform company.
In its arrangement with Molina Healthcare, Brave Health will connect with select members as they are discharged from a hospital to be engaged in a 6-month episode of care, during which Brave Health will focus on outcomes measures. Patients will have the option to continue care from Brave Health indefinitely.
Discovery Behavioral Health Acquires Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery
Discovery Behavioral Health announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Brookdale Premiere Addiction Recovery, a 110-bed residential treatment program in Scotrun, Pennsylvania. The facility will be Discovery’s first in the state as the company looks to expand into the eastern part of the US.
The Discovery Behavioral Health continuum of care includes detoxification services, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and psychiatric services with a portfolio of 145 treatment centers. Discovery is a contracted provider with 100 payers and other managed care organizations.
Landmark Recovery of Indianapolis Launches Veterans Program
Landmark Recovery of Indianapolis, a family-owned drug and alcohol addiction treatment provider, announced the development of a therapy group for military service members. The program, named “Roadmap to Resilience,” has been designed to help identify traumas experienced by veterans and active-duty military members and to develop healthy coping skills.
Landmark Recovery is a verified partner with the Veterans Administration (VA) and a Joint Commission-accredited healthcare provider. The facility’s therapists and group leaders recently completed military cultural competency training. Roadmap to Resilience programming will involve a military liaison and patient navigator, twice weekly individual therapy sessions, 40 hours of weekly group therapy, and family and alumni programs.
