Caron Treatment Centers Location Launches New Services

Caron Treatment Centers has announced the launch of an expanded range of mental health and trauma services for teens, adults, and their families at its newly updated Caron Outpatient Treatment Center in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. The new service offerings will complement its existing substance use disorder (SUD) assessment, outpatient treatment, and recovery support programs at the center.

The new mental health program will offer support and counseling for individuals who are dealing with diagnoses and issues related to mood, anxiety, and trauma, as well as SUD patients who require treatment for co-occurring mental health challenges.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital Expands Research Facilities

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, has unveiled plans for its new Institute for Mental and Behavioral Health Research. The center will focus on understanding children’s mental and behavioral health, as well as developing better diagnostics, treatment, and preventative strategies.

The Institute for Mental and Behavioral Health Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital will be housed in the Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion on the hospital’s main campus in Columbus. The facility has 25,000 square feet of research space.

The institute will be led by Eric Youngstrom, PhD, a psychologist who specializes in the relationship between mood and psychopathology, and the clinical assessment of children and families. Dr Youngstrom will join Nationwide Children’s as the institute’s inaugural director on February 1, 2024.
