Haven Health Management Acquires Recovering Champions
Haven Health Management, a national provider of addiction and mental health treatment services, announced on Thursday that it has acquired Recovering Champions, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in Massachusetts. Based in Cape Cod, Recovering Champions specializes in treating substance use and co-occurring disorders.
The deal extends Haven Health Management’s network of facilities that includes detox centers, residential treatment programs, and outpatient programs.
Clear Recovery Center Announces Rebrand
Clear Recovery Center announced on Monday that it has rebranded as Clear Behavioral Health. The comprehensive behavioral health services provider said in a news release that the new name “reflects its continued commitment to providing a comprehensive, full continuum of behavioral health treatment—from detox, residential rehab, and dual diagnosis (partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient) to mental health residential programs and outpatient mental health (PHP and IOP) for teens and adults.”
The newly named Clear Behavioral Health is based in Los Angeles, California. The company operates 6 facilities in California and also offers virtual care options.
Wellcare Partners With American Legion
Wellcare, the Medicare brand of Centene Corporation, has entered into a strategic multiyear partnership with the American Legion, the nation’s largest veterans service organization. Wellcare will serve as the American Legion’s exclusive Medicare partner, connecting veterans at least 65 years of age, their spouses, and the greater military community with behavioral healthcare-related products and service offerings that complement the benefits that eligible veterans receive through their Veterans Affairs healthcare.
Wellcare will host joint events at Legion posts and virtually connect and provide virtual education regarding opportunities for Medicare Advantage plans. Wellcare will also support the American Legion’s Be the One initiative, a long-term priority to reduce stigma related to asking for mental health support.
Talkiatry Expands Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Services
Talkiatry, a national provider of in-network psychiatric care services, announced on Tuesday that it has expanded its child and adolescent psychiatry services to 31 states. With the expansion, the company now reaches 58 million patients under the age of 18. Services are now live in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oregon, Alabama, and Louisiana, along with 26 previously launched states.
Talkiatry employs more than 300 full-time licensed psychiatrists and is in-network with more than 60 insurers.
Two Chairs Launches Group Therapy Option
Two Chairs, a multi-state behavioral healthcare organization based in San Francisco, California, has launched a group therapy offering. The company’s virtual group therapy option is now available for patients in Washington state and is in-network with Kaiser Permanente and Aetna. The company also offers a self-pay option.
Two Chairs said in a news release that its therapy groups are supported by transdiagnostic principles and evidence-based practices, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and positive psychology.
In a separate announcement on Tuesday, Two Chairs unveiled its Care Navigation program, which enables in-network guidance and referrals for patients who require either supplemental care or other care modalities. The program allows patients to receive outbound referrals to other care providers within their individual insurance network. The company’s Care Navigators will work with directly with patients to identify and connect with appropriate providers.
Recovia Opens Seventh Clinic in Arizona
Recovia, a pain management clinic and behavioral health center, announced that it has opened a new multidisciplinary biopsychosocial facility in Tucson, Arizona. The location is Recovia’s second in the city of Tucson and seventh in the state of Arizona.
The new clinic will offer non-interventional, integrated, outpatient pain management and behavioral health programs. Recovia specializes in treatments for chronic pain, mental health, and/or substance use disorders with programs that are based on an interdisciplinary treatment and education model that combines behavioral counseling, physical therapy, and medical support.
