Meridian Behavioral Health Appoints New CEO
Meridian Behavioral Health, a provider of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, has appointed Lewis P. Zeidner, PhD, as its new CEO.
Dr Zeidner joins Meridian having most recently served as vice president of mental health and addiction services at M Health Fairview Health Services, where he led inpatient, emergency department, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, child and adult, and SUD treatment services at 11 hospitals, 2 residential programs, 9 programmatic care sites, and multiple clinics.
Prior to his time at M Health Fairview, Dr Zeidner was the clinical director of Behavioral Healthcare Providers, where he led the establishment of a clinical team and managed relationships with other providers and clinical leaders in the field.
Diamond Recovery Group to Open Behavioral Health Facility
Diamond Recovery Group, a provider of SUD recovery services, is opening its first behavioral healthcare facility. Known as Diamond Behavioral Health, the new program will focus exclusively on mental healthcare services. The facility is located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and it is slated to open on Friday.
Diamond Behavioral Health will offer a range of mental healthcare services, including personalized therapy and consulting. In a news release announcing the launch of its new behavioral health program, Diamond Recovery Group touted the recent addition of Segio Muriel, LMHC, CAP, to guide the program as its chief operating officer. Muriel has more than 2 decades of experience in the field, including prior executive leadership roles.
Back2Basics Partners With Sky’s the Limit Fund to Expand Treatment Access
Back2Basics Outdoor Adventure Recovery, a program in Flagstaff, Arizona, for men between the ages of 18 and 35 with mental health and/or substance use issues, has announced a partnership with Sky’s the Limit Fund to expand its wilderness therapy and addiction treatment modalities to help individuals who are unable to cover the costs of treatment.
Sky’s the Limit Fund provides financial assistance to adolescents and young adults seeking wilderness therapy and nature-based programs. Qualified applicants will receive financial aid to attend Back2Basics treatment, and Back2Basics will offer the same residents outdoor adventure therapy at reduced rates. Sky’s the Limit Fund will also provide recipients with post-treatment coaching sessions.
Monte Nido & Affiliates Adds Day Program in Chicago
Monte Nido & Affiliates has announced the opening of its latest facility: Monte Nido Chicago Eating Disorder Day Treatment in Lombard, Illinois. The program will offer eating disorder treatment for adolescents and adults of all genders, and it will complement 2 residential programs in the Chicagoland area operated by Monte Nido & Affiliates. The addition of a day treatment program will allow patients to transition from 24/7 care to outpatient therapy.
The new facility will treat anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and other eating disorders, offering partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Monte Nido Chicago Day Treatment will also provide trauma treatment that incorporates cognitive processing therapy.
Blue Ridge Eating Disorder Care Center Adding Florida Facility
Blue Ridge Eating Disorder Care Center, a provider of residential eating disorder treatment services in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, has announced plans to expand into Jacksonville, Florida. The new facility, Waves of Hope Eating Disorder Care Center, will offer partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults and adolescents. It is scheduled to open in March, with an adolescent residential program to follow in fall 2024.
