Mindful Therapy Group Expands
Mindful Therapy Group, a mental healthcare provider with operations in Washington and Oregon, announced on Monday that it has opened a new office in Tacoma, Washington. The new facility is Mindful’s 9th location, and the company said in a news release that it intends to open a 10th therapy office in Portland, Oregon, by the end of 2023.
Founded in 2011, Mindful has an independent provider network of more than 850 clinicians who serve more than 14,000 patients in the Pacific Northwest per week. Mindful’s therapists offer treatment services for mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and behavioral and learning disorders, such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Nomi Health Acquires Arizona Clinic
Nomi Health, a national healthcare programs and payments company, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired I Am Wellness, a clinic based in Phoenix, Arizona.
I Am Wellness joins Nomi’s in-person treatment and virtual opioid use disorder (OUD) and substance use disorder (SUD) population health program. The clinic provides in-house primary care, mental health services, peer support, social service referrals, and medication-assisted treatment for individuals with OUD. I Am Wellness focuses on underserved populations, including those on Medicaid, justice-involved individuals, and those in county hospitals.
The deal with Nomi will expand I Am Wellness’ geographic footprint, as well as its network of on-the-ground peer navigators, while adding virtual care programs and mobile units.
Rippl Adds 2 Industry Vets to Board
Rippl, a behavioral healthcare company focused on expanding access to wraparound care for seniors with neurocognitive challenges, announced on Monday that it has added 2 industry executives to its board. The company has added Iyah Romm, founding CEO of Cityblock Health, a tech-enabled services company that specializes in Medicaid-focused solutions for complex health needs, and Ryan Watts, CEO of Denali Therapeutics, an organization that specializes in therapeutic discovery and development related to neurodegenerative disorders.
Rippl said in a news release that the additions of Romm and Watts will support its mission to improve treatment for adults over the age of 65 with dementia.
“Getting specialized care to seniors with dementia and other neurocognitive challenges is urgent,” Kris Engskov, Rippl Co-founder and CEO, said in the release. “The emergency room simply can't be our primary fix for helping patients and their families navigate these diseases day-to-day, yet that's what is happening.”
ARC Health Acquires Mental Health Practice in Colorado
ARC Health announced it has acquired Denver Wellness Associates (DWA), a mental healthcare provider group with 2 clinic locations in Denver, Colorado.
Employing a team of 20 caregivers, DWA offers multiple services, including therapy and ketamine services, as well as transcranial magnetic stimulation to treat depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. Through its partnership with ARC Health, DWA will have access to additional resources to support its operations and expand its geographic footprint.
DWA accepts all insurance plans and specializes in semi-urgent availability.
Haven Detox Expands Services to Primary Mental Health
The Haven Detox, a provider of detox and addiction treatment provider based in West Palm Beach, Florida, announced on Wednesday that it has gained Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) certification for mental health services. The organization will now accept primary mental health patients with no substance use disorder history.
The Haven Detox has locations in Florida, Arkansas, New York, and Massachusetts, offering medical detox, inpatient mental health treatment, individual and group therapy, family counseling, and aftercare planning.
