Modern Recovery, a Tempe, Arizona-based behavioral health support service program, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired SpringBoard Recovery in Scottsdale, Arizona. Modern Recovery is also forming a new umbrella organization—Modern Recovery Network—which will encompass 4 programs:
- Modern Recovery Services
- SpringBoard Recovery
- SpringBoard Arizona
- Avery’s House, an adolescent inpatient behavioral health center slated to open in the second quarter of 2022
The 4 programs will operate as distinct entities that share corporate resources and an internal referral structure. Modern Recovery Network will be led by:
- Robert Castan, president and chief marketing officer
- Michele Canale, chief executive officer
- Laura Nuss, chief financial officer
- Steve Laats, chief operating officer
- Shawna Chandler, chief clinical officer
Alina Lodge Reduces Minimum Stay in Residential Program
Alina Lodge announced this week that it is reducing the minimum stay in its Blairstown, New Jersey, residential substance use disorder treatment program to 28 days from the previously required 90.
“We understand that not everyone struggling with addiction can commit to a 90-day residential program due to time, cost, or obligations at work or home, and this reduction allows people to get the treatment they need without sacrifice or struggle,” the company wrote in a news release announcing the change.
Alina Lodge also announced the addition of dedicated smoking areas on its campus, as well as onsite, full-service detox, and the availability of supervised access to work. Connecting with families and children within the first 28 days of treatment also will be permitted.
Aware Recovery Care Appoints Chief Clinical Officer
Aware Recovery Care, a provider of in-home addiction treatment in 8 states, announced the appointment of Dr Jonathan Muther as its chief clinical officer.
Dr Muther will have oversight of Aware’s behavioral health clinical services, and he will be tasked with developing and coordinating clinical goals, practices, and protocols to improve client outcomes.
Dr Muther has 20 years of clinical experience, and he previously served as vice president of medical services, integrated behavioral health, at the University of Colorado School of Medicine’s Salud Family Health Centers, as well as clinical director of behavioral health for Nice Healthcare.
Forge Health Names VP of Business Development
Forge Health, a value-based mental health and substance use disorder treatment provider in New York, announced that industry veteran Liz Walker has joined the organization as its vice president of business development. Walker joins Forge Health after most recently working for Gesinger Marworth Treatment Center, where she led business development for 20 years. Walker’s career also includes stints in community relations for Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut and Cornerstone Medical Arts Hospital in New York.
Revitalist Adds Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for Pain, Mental Health Conditions
Revitalist Lifestyle and Wellness announced the addition of a transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) service line as a non-opioid alternative to address pain and mental health conditions. Revitalist will offer TMS services at 5 of its 10 locations:
- Louisville, Kentucky
- Knoxville, Tennessee
- Chattanooga, Tennessee
- Johnson City, Tennessee
- Raleigh, North Carolina
Revitalist’s addition of TMS services comes a week after the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company announced its acquisition of Alchemy Wellness, a ketamine clinic in Richmond, Virginia.
