Each facility offers care for adolescents of all genders with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and/or exercise addiction.

Clementine Orange County is Monte Nido’s 7th program in California and will serve as a complement to Clementine Malibu Lake, an adolescent girls program just outside of Los Angeles. Clementine Cherry Hill is Monte Nido’s first program in New Jersey, marking the 15th state in which the company now operates.

With a capacity of 20 beds, Magnolia City offers medication-assisted detox, as well as complementary therapies. The provider accepts a range of private insurance plans.

First City Recovery Center Expanding in Indiana

First City Recovery Center, a provider of drug and alcohol addiction treatment services in Kokomo, Indiana, announced it has purchased 2 buildings adjacent to its facility. The acquisition will allow First City Recovery to expand its capacity by 32 beds.

First City Recovery offers rehabilitation services to treat substance use disorders at 2 levels: partial hospitalization or inpatient residential rehabilitation. The latter includes intake, detoxification, and therapy.

United Health Foundation Partners With Active Minds

The United Health Foundation, the philanthropic arm of UnitedHealth Group, announced a 3-year, $3 million commitment in partnership with Active Minds, a not-for-profit organization that promotes mental health awareness and education for young adults. Active Minds has a presence at more than 1000 campuses, schools, communities, and workplaces across the nation. The funding from United Health Foundation will enable Active Minds to launch a pilot mental healthcare program in 50 school districts across Minnesota, North Carolina, and Florida to serve youth at the middle school level for the first time.

The program will be designed to address middle school students’ social and emotional needs, improve attitudes related to mental health, decrease stigma, and increase students’ likelihood of helping a friend with mental health challenges. Active Minds said in a news release it plans to launch middle school programming across its network following the pilot.
