Business Briefs: MultiCare, Valera, Pinnacle, Southcoast
MultiCare Health System, a provider of behavioral healthcare services in Washington state, has partnered with telebehavioral health service provider Valera Health to increase access to mental healthcare through virtual service offerings.
MultiCare patients now have access to Valera mental healthcare services, which are provided by a network of licensed therapists, nurse practitioners, case managers, and psychiatrists. MultiCare and Valera will collaborate to offer virtual care to adults, youths, and children across a spectrum of mental health services, from brief therapy to long-term treatment of severe and persistent mental illness.
Pinnacle Adds 19th Outpatient Program in Ohio
Pinnacle Treatment Centers announced that it has opened its 19th outpatient opioid addiction treatment program in Ohio. Painesville Treatment Services is a community-based program located about 30 miles east of Cleveland that offers medication-assisted treatment, along with individual and group therapy. Areas of focus include anger management, grief and loss therapy, life skills counseling, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed care.
In addition to its 19 outpatient centers in Ohio, Pinnacle also operates Recovery Works Portage, a withdrawal management unit in Ravenna that operates within the University Hospitals healthcare system; and Recovery Works Columbus, a residential treatment center and outpatient program with recovery homes. The company said in a release that it plans to open additional treatment centers in Ohio. Overall, the Pinnacle portfolio includes more than 125 community-based centers in 8 states.
Southcoast Expands Service Line for Children, Adolescents
Southcoast Behavioral Health announced this week that it is adding a dedicated child and adolescent behavioral health program. The move doubles the capacity of the Dartmouth, Massachusetts-based organization’s service line to 48 beds, and brings the facility’s overall capacity to 192 beds. The expansion, which is Southcoast’s second since it launched in 2015, is expected to be completed in the first half of 2023.
Operated through a partnership between Southcoast Health and Acadia Healthcare, Southcoast Behavioral Health offers inpatient behavioral health treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors of all identified genders, and is accessible from Cape Cod, Boston, and Rhode Island.
