Providence Treatment Opens 4th Location
Providence Treatment, a provider of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services for professionals, announced that it has expanded into New England with the opening of a new office in the Longwood section of Boston. The facility joins Providence’s existing 2 programs in Philadelphia and 1 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
In a news release announcing the launch of its new center, Providence cited Boston’s status as a major hub for medical training and health systems. Incorporating industry-recognized best practices and the 12-Step fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous, the Providence program uses a biopsychosocial spiritual addiction treatment model.
ARC Health Acquires Sasco River Center
ARC Health, a Thurston Group portfolio company, announced that it has acquired Sasco River Center, a mental health group with 3 locations in Fairfield County, Connecticut. ARC is a mental health specialty services provider that supports psychiatry, psychology, and therapy practice owners.
Sasco River Center is a multidisciplinary practice that offers diagnostic and therapy services for children, adolescents, young adults, and families. In a news release announcing the acquisition, Sasco River co-founder Chris Bogart, PhD, said the partnership with ARC will “provide the back-office support and economy of scale we need to grow, freeing our team to do what they love best, helping our patients become their best selves.”
Bierman Autism Centers Adds Veteran Executive as COO
Bierman Autism Centers has appointed Bryan Davey, BCBA-D, LBA, as its new chief operating officer. Dr Davey will be tasked with leading the organization’s operations team and partnering closely with its clinical leadership.
Dr Davey has held executive leadership positions at both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, including serving as senior vice president of operations for a national behavioral health organization and as CEO of a multi-site integrated physical and behavioral health organization. Dr Davey has also served as CEO of a telehealth platform with members in more than 40 countries.
Dr Davey serves on the Arizona Governor’s Autism Spectrum Disorder Committee and Telehealth Advisory Committee.
