Recovery Centers of America Launches Specialized Programs in Illinois
Recovery Centers of America at St. Charles and South Elgin, located in the Chicagoland area, have announced the launch of 2 new programs: The Discover program will address the increasing threat to young adults posed by drug and alcohol addictions, while the Balance program will treat adults with a primary substance use disorder and a secondary mental health diagnosis.
Designed for individuals between the ages of 18 and 25, Discover includes a separate “neighborhood” within the RCA campus. Patients are provided with virtual academic or professional work time. Programming includes cognitive behavior therapy, motivational enhancement therapy, and family support.
Balance is a skills-based program that incorporates dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychiatric assessments, medication management, and treatment that focuses on mental, physical and spiritual enrichment.
RCA announced in a news release that in the coming months, it plans to launch virtual outpatient treatment for individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis, but not a substance use disorder.
Sheppard Pratt Launches Institute for Advanced Diagnostics and Therapeutics
Sheppard Pratt announced this month that it has opened its new Institute for Advanced Diagnostics and Therapeutics. The facility includes a Center of Excellence for Psilocybin Research and Treatment and is supported by COMPASS Pathways.
The institute brings together Sheppard Pratt’s clinical expertise for treating mental illnesses and a research center to improve patient outcomes. The institute will house the company’s existing electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation services. The institute will investigate the impact of psilocybin therapy and psychedelic medication regimens with 4 private psychedelic therapy rooms.
The institute will also offer providers a second opinion consultation for patients with difficult-to-treat illnesses.
Enhanced Healthcare Partners Invests in Howard J. Chudler & Associates
Enhanced Healthcare Partners (EHP), a private equity firm that focuses on investments in middle-market healthcare organizations, announced that it has made a strategic investment in Howard J. Chudler & Associates (HCA), a provider of applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy for individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
With its new investment from EHP, the Southern California-based HCA plans to bolster its infrastructure and expand into new markets, according to a news release. HCA’s urgent response services for immediate support, de-escalation, and stabilization services also will be expanded.
Valiant Recovery Opens Florida Residential Program
Valiant Recovery, a provider of addiction recovery services in the United States and Canada, has announced the opening of an inpatient treatment facility in Punta Gorda, Florida. The new residential program has a capacity of 22 clients.
The program’s daily sessions cover topics including anxiety and depression, grief and loss, anger, codependency, trauma, relapse prevention, and the 12 Steps. Valiant’s treatment also includes transitioning clients to sober living and providing after care services.
Valiant is licensed to provide detox, resident, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment. The company accepts most major insurance plans.
